A few months back I introduced you to Jen, a mom of two beautiful girls from Virginia, who committed to changing her life so she can feel better about herself and lead a healthier lifestyle.
She began working with me about two and a half months ago. Well, let me tell you…she absolutely blew me away. Jen’s dedication and hard work was incredibly inspiring. Yes, I was there to coach her, answer all of her questions, and to push her when she didn’t feel like working out, but she’s the one that put in all the work and I could not be more proud of her.
What inspired me the most was how drastically she changed her diet. I told her that working out was going to be the easy part compared to eating right all the time. I was worried at first because she was a little apprehensive to change her diet. She started to make small changes and then in a couple weeks time she completely changed the way she ate and how she fed her family.
Jen sent me pictures of quinoa with chicken and vegetables, homemade oatmeal muffins, mini egg quiches, spaghetti squash, greek yogurt salad dressing, and protein shakes…it goes on and on, and all was made with fresh and clean ingredients. I knew that she finally realized how crucial her diet was in seeing results. She even got a little sneaky and made mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes for her husband, and he didn’t even realize it until she told him…and he actually liked it!
We did have a couple minor bumps in the road when Jen briefly lost belief in herself because it was just “too hard.” Sometimes she needed a pep talk or a little tough love, but she quickly bounced back when I reminded her of why she was doing this in the first place.
I’m so excited to share Jen’s progress. Since she started working with me she has lost 28.4 pounds and 27.5 inches…in less than three months!!! She is only 1.4 pounds away from her first goal (a month ahead of schedule), and there is no doubt in my mind that she will reach her final goal in a couple months time.

“10 weeks ago it took me 17 minutes to walk a mile. Yes, I knew I was overweight and had a lot of work ahead of me, but I was doing it. I was getting on the treadmill several days a week. Also, today I hit my best time ever on the treadmill running a 5k, yes that is not a typo! My time today was 35:03. I am so proud of my accomplishments in the last 10 weeks and have her to thank! I feel better about myself and I look better too! There is nothing better than seeing someone I haven’t seen in months and them noticing my weight loss.
